The Staříč (German Staritz ) is a left tributary of the Bělá in the Czech Republic and at the same time its largest tributary.

course

The Staříč rises as Jesenný potok on the northeast slope of the Smrk in the Reichensteiner Mountains . Its source is located north of the Luční chata between the Luční vrch ( meadow mountain , 995 m), Smrk ( Ficht , 1125 m) and the Lví hora ( lion's dome , 1040 m). The Jesenný potok first flows to the northeast, then turns at the Raspberry Mountain to the southeast and forms the bottom Dlouhá dolina. The first town on its course is Horní Lipová. This is where the Vápenný potok joins, from the confluence of the stream, which now runs east, carries the name Staříč . From Horní Lipová, the Hanušovice – Głuchołazy railway line , which comes from the Vražedný potok valley and is called the Silesian Semmering Railway, runs along the stream. At the same time, the Staříč also forms the geographical border between the Reichensteiner Mountains and the Jeseníky Mountains . Subsequently, in the wider Staříč valley, the places Lipová-lázně and Dolní Lipová extend . Past Bobrovník, the Staříč finally reaches Jeseník, where it joins the Bělá after 14.9 kilometers north of the city center .
