The Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi (previously Stadio XXV Aprile) is a stadium in the Italian city of Parma . It is mainly used for rugby games.
history
The stadium, initially called Stadio XXV Aprile when it opened in 2008, replaced the original Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi located elsewhere in Parma , which was demolished in July 2008. It is home to the rugby clubs Crociati Parma Rugby FC and GranDucato Parma Rugby, as well as the American football teams Parma Panthers and Bobcats Parma. Since 2012, it has also been the home stadium of the newly founded franchise team Zebre , which replaced the insolvent Aironi team in the Pro12 professional league and in the Heineken Cup .
The name was changed to Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi in 2015.
