The Ergilio Hato Stadium ( Dutch Ergilio Hatostadion ) is a football stadium with an athletics facility in Willemstad , capital of the Caribbean island of Curaçao . The island belongs to the Kingdom of the Netherlands . In the Creole language Papiamentu , which is spoken on Curaçao, it is called Sentro Deportivo Korsou (SDK). With space for 15,000 spectators, it is the largest sports facility on the island and also the national stadium . The sports facility is mainly used for the national soccer team of Curaçao, Successor to the national soccer team of the Netherlands Antilles , which was dissolved in 2010 .
The name is reminiscent of Ergilio Hato (1926–2003), a goalkeeper from Curaçao, who took part in the football tournament of the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki for the Dutch Antilles team.
