history

In 1989 the city ​​of Linz was built at the Theodor Hitzler shipyard in Regensburg. The ship has more than 800 indoor seats in the entrance deck and middle deck and a further 700 seats in the large open deck above. The maximum number of passengers is given as 1100. According to the shipping company, this makes the city ​​of Linz the largest excursion ship on the Danube. The namesake for this ship was the city of Linz , which was also its home port in the past .
