The Kehl City Archive is the municipal archive of the city of Kehl in the Ortenau district in Baden-Württemberg . The “memory of the city” stores holdings on the history of the city of Kehl for urban history , local history or genealogical research. It is responsible for securing and indexing historically valuable documents from the Kehl city administration, and it also stores non-official archives such as photos or documents and estates of private individuals, initiatives or associations.

The city archive is housed together with the Hanauer Museum in Kehl. The historian Ute Scherb, who succeeded Hartmut Stüwe , has been the director of the city archive and the Hanau Museum since August 1, 2007 .
