The von Stammer family was an old, knightly Saxon noble family.

history

The family was first mentioned in 1295 with Conradus dictus Stammern . The family was in Anhalt around and in Ballenstedt , u. a. in Ermsleben , Görlsdorf, Polleben , Wedlitz , Westdorf, Wörmlitz . Since 1420 also sat on Balgstädt. The brother of the same name of Bishop Heinrich / Heinz von Stammer was 1471–76 governor in Zeitz , and sat in Plotha in 1482 and in 1483 in Balgstädt . Adrian Arndt, Henning and Christian von Stammer were members of the Fruit Bringing Society . In 1752 Carl Friedrich von Stammer belonged to the Naumburg Cathedral Chapteron. Eckhardt August von Stammer (1772) was Landkomtur der Kommende Lucklum of the Ballei Sachsen belonging to the German Order .

Rammelburg Castle

From 1624 the Rammelburg office with Rammelburg Castle was owned by the family.
