Standard Bank Cup 2005/06

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Standard Bank Cup 2005/06 was the 25th staging of the National List-A cricket - Cup in South Africa . The competition was held between November 25, 2005 and January 13, 2006 between the six South African first-class franchises over 45 overs each . In the final the Eagles were able to prevail against the Titans with 2 wickets .

format

The seven teams played in a group twice against each other team. There are four points for a win, two for a draw or no result and no point for a loss. A bonus point is awarded if, with a sense of purpose, one's own run number exceeds that of the opponent by 1.25 times. Furthermore, it is possible that teams are deducted points if, for example, they play too slowly. The first four of the group contest the semifinals, the winner of which will determine the winner of the competition in the final.
