Stanislaw Kamiński

Stanisław Kamiński (born October 24, 1919 in Radzyń Podlaski ; † March 21, 1986 in Freiburg im Breisgau in the Catholic Loretto Hospital and buried in Lublin , Poland ) was a Polish philosopher , cleric and professor at the Catholic University of Lublin .

The main subjects of his work were logic , methodology of science and theology . Together with Mieczysław A. Krąpiec (1921–2008), Stefan Swieżawski and Marian Kurdziałek (1920–1997) he was one of the founders of the Lublin Philosophical School.

In 1949 the young Kamiński defended his dissertation at the Catholic University of Lublin, Fregego dwuwartościowy system aksjomatyczny zmiennych zdaniowych w świetle współczesnej metodologii nauk dedukcyjnych ( Frege's two-valued axiomatic system of propositional variables in the light of modern methodology). The supervisor of the thesis was Dr Józef Pastuszka (1897–1989). In 1973 he gave two lectures at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz on theoretical aspects of science: rational factors in modern science and theology and types of ethics.
