The Staniskabach is a brook in the municipality of Kals am Großglockner ( Lienz district ). The stream rises east of the Staniskaalm and flows south of the Haslach farm ( Staniska ) into the Kalserbach .

course

The sources of the Staniskabach arise in a high valley that is bounded by the Riegelkopf and the Leibnitzer Rotspitzen in the south, by the Hochschober in the east and the Kreuzegg and the northern and southern waterfall tip in the north. The Staniskakees west of the Hochschobers also belongs to the catchment area . The northern source stream of the Staniskabach rises between Kreuzegg, Winkelegg and the northern waterfall tip . The southern source stream is framed by the waterfall peaks and the Leibnitzer Rotspitzen. After its source brooks have merged, the brook initially flows in a north-westerly direction past the Staniskaalm and then reaches the tree line at around 1960 meters above sea level. The Staniskabach now flows through closed forest areas up to the mouth, passes the Loipalm and Lenzalm to the north and falls down a forest ravine in the lower reaches, where it formed the Schleier waterfall ( natural monument , list entry ) just before the mouth . South of the Haslach farm in the Staniska district, the Staniskabach flows into the Kalserbach on the left.
