Stanislaw Mychailowytsch Kravchuk ( Ukrainian Станіслав Михайлович Кравчук ; born  September 25, 1978 in Chirchiq , Uzbek SSR ) is a Ukrainian freestyle skier . He specializes in the aerials (jumping) discipline.

biography

Kravchuk, who was born in Uzbekistan , made his first international appearance at the 1997 World Cup . He made his debut in the World Cup on March 14, 1997 at Hundfjället near Sälen , where he immediately finished eighth. In 1999 and 2000 he did not contest any competitions. In 2002 he achieved the best result at the Olympic Games with a fifth place. He also finished fifth at the 2003 World Cup .

On December 5, 2003, Kravchuk achieved third place in Ruka for the first time on the podium in a World Cup competition. He achieved two more podium places in the 2004/05 World Cup season, and another followed in the 2006/07 season. He celebrated his only World Cup victory so far on February 1, 2008 in Deer Valley . Kravchuk was on the podium twice in the 2008/09 season and three times in the 2010/11 season. In February 2012 he won his second World Cup after a four-year break.
