Stanislaw Michailowitsch Mitin ( Russian Станисла́в Миха́йлович Ми́тин ; born August 5, 1950 in Tashkent , Soviet Union ) is a Russian film and theater director as well as a screenwriter .

Life

Stanislaw Mitin graduated summa cum laude from the St. Petersburg (then Leningrad) state theater academy in the subject "Dramaegie" in 1980 and has since worked as a director in theater, cinema and television. Mitin has worked as a theater director in various theaters in Moscow and Saint Petersburg and has staged more than 30 drama and music theater pieces in and outside Russia and made over ten documentaries together with his wife, Ella Mitina.
