The Stankiewicz GmbH was a German automotive supplier with Germany's 1250 and 2000 international employees. In June 2009, the International Automotive Components Group (IAC) largely took over the insolvent company Stankiewicz and integrated the activities.

history

The company had existed since 1945. Alois Stankiewicz received written permission from the British occupation commander of the city of Celle on May 31, 1945 to set up a chemical factory with the aim of producing disinfectants . The production of the Schallschluck company began on July 6, 1945 with a workforce of ten. First, the production of hand washing pastes was started.

Stankiewicz was a subsidiary of Phoenix AG and was taken over together with it by Continental AG in 2004 . In 2006, Continental AG sold the company to a Dutch financial investor. In 2008, the company got into difficulties due to the global automobile sales crisis and filed for bankruptcy . In June 2009, Stankiewicz was taken over by the IAC without its activities in France and the USA.
