Stanko Sabljić (born January 28, 1988 in Mostar ) is a Croatian handball player .

Career

Stanko Sabljić played until 2007 at the Bosnian-Herzegovinian club HRK Izviđač Ljubuški , then for a year at RK Sloga Doboj and in the 2008/09 season at RK Bosna Sarajevo , with whom he won the championship and the cup. Then the 2.02 meter tall circle runner moved to Croatia to RK Metković , but returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina after just one season, where he then ran for RK Borac Banja Luka . From 2012 Sabljić was under contract with the German club Bergischer HC , with whom he rose to the first division in 2013. After his expiring contract with BHC was not extended after the 2013/14 season, he joined the first division promoted HC Erlangen in September 2014 . A year later he signed a contract with RK Zagreb . With Zagreb he won the Croatian Championship and the Croatian Cup in 2016. Then he was without a contract. After Sabljić survived a shoulder injury, he joined the German second division ASV Hamm-Westfalen in February 2018 , which he left again after the 2017/18 season. In October 2018 he joined VfL Eintracht Hagen . After his contract ended on December 31, 2018, Sabljić was without a contract. In February 2019, the German third division club SG Schalksmühle-Halver signed him. For the 2019/20 season he changes to the Wilhelmshaven AGM .
