Stanley Girard Schlarman

Stanley Girard Schlarman (born July 27, 1934 in Belleville ) is former Bishop of Dodge City .

Life

The auxiliary bishop in Rome , Luigi Traglia , ordained Schlarmann on July 13, 1958 as a priest of the diocese of Belleville .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 13, 1979 auxiliary bishop in Belleville and titular bishop of Capreae . The Bishop of Belleville, William Michael Cosgrove , donated him episcopal ordination on July 6 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Albert Rudolph Zuroweste , Bishop Emeritus of Belleville, and Philip Francis Murphy , Auxiliary Bishop in Baltimore .

He was named bishop of Dodge City on March 1, 1983, and inducted into office on May 4 of the same year. He resigned on May 12, 1998.
