Stefan Frühbeis (born March 1, 1979 in Munich ) is a former German soccer player who was mostly used in defense .

Frühbeis started playing football at FC Deisenhofen , the Oberhachinger district club in the Upper Bavarian district of Munich , before joining the amateur team at Bayern Munich . In 1997 he moved to SpVgg Unterhaching , which he belonged to until 2000, but was never used in the first team. The move to the Regionalliga Süd at Wacker Burghausen followed . 2001/02 he contributed ten goals to promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga . From 2002 to 2004 he played 39 second division games for Burghausen and scored five goals. In 2004/05 he was brought to TSV 1860 Munich by coach Rudi Bommer . Until his release on the 15th matchday he was used seven times, then only in the 2nd team.

In the summer of 2005 he returned to SpVgg Unterhaching and secured a place in the regular team. He played his best game in the 4-1 victory of SpVgg Unterhaching in the Allianz Arena , when he contributed one goal and two assists against his former club TSV 1860 Munich. At the end of the 2006/07 season he was relegated with SpVgg Unterhaching and decided to continue playing in Unterhaching in the Bavarian regional league . At the end of the 2008/09 season , after the club had previously qualified for the newly created 3rd division , he left the club.
