Stefan Fryberg

Stefan Fryberg (born April 5, 1952 , legal resident in Disentis ) is a Swiss historian and politician ( FDP ).

Life

In 1972 he completed the Matura Type B at the Appenzell College and then began studying history and German literature, which he graduated with a licentiate in 1978 . He taught these subjects at the Uri Cantonal Middle School from 1979 to 1989. Then he worked as a landlord and hotelier in Maderanertal . Shortly afterwards he became a co-founder and partner of Baumann & Fryberg AG, an advertising agency. He also worked as an author and co-author of numerous books and publications on the Canton of Uri . In 2004 he was elected to the government council, of which he was a member until his resignation in 2012. He served as health, social and environmental director. Since 2006 he has also been on the board of the Federal Social Directors' Conference (SODK).
