Stefan Alexander Ilzhöfer (born March 22, 1995 in Kirchheim unter Teck ) is a German basketball player . Ilzhöfer began his career in his Swabian hometown in the Ludwigsburg junior team in the youth basketball league (NBBL) as well as in individual missions in the second division team of his hometown and the Ludwigsburg first division team. He has been under contract with the Rostock Seawolves since 2020 .

Career

Ilzhöfer played from the 2011/12 season in the Ludwigsburg junior team in the NBBL together with his Kirchheim club mate Besnik Bekteshi . The team failed twice in the NBBL play-off quarter-finals against the team Urspring to make it into the top four . In the 2012/13 season, Ilzhöfer played a role in both the men's second division Kirchheim Knights in ProA 2012/13 and cooperation partner Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg in the top division of the basketball Bundesliga 2012/13 . Both men's teams ended the season with little sporting success on a relegation place and could only achieve relegation in their respective leagues through " wildcards ".

For the 2013/14 season, U18 national player Ilzhöfer moved to the Ludwigsburg league competitor Skyliners in Frankfurt am Main . Although his age was still eligible for the NBBL, where he only played one play-off for the Eintracht Frankfurt junior team , he had a surprisingly good preparation for the season, so that he was also used in the first division team. Due to injuries he only made four first division appearances and six appearances in the reserve team in the third highest men's division, ProB . After the pre-season preparation for the following season was not without problems, he still played half of the first half of the first half of the first half of the first half of the 2014/15 basketball Bundesliga for the Skyliners, where he was twice a member of the first division team's starting line-up due to injuries to teammates . In the ProB reserve team, Ilzhöfer was usually one of the top performers in five missions with twice as much playing time. In 2016 he won the FIBA Europe Cup with Frankfurt .

Ilzhöfer left Frankfurt after the end of the 2016/17 season and switched to the second division club Gladiators Trier . In August 2017 he took part in the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei with the German national student  team. In mid-July 2020, the second division Rostock Seawolves signed the winger.
