With the TOP4 tournament of the youth basketball league , the semi-finals and the final of the German championship of the U19 age group will be held.
2006/07
The first Top4 tournament of the NBBL took place on 5./6. May 2007 in front of 2000 spectators in Paderborn .

2010/11
The fifth Top4 tournament took place on 14./15. May in front of 2000 spectators in the round sports hall in Ludwigsburg . Team ALBA Urspring defended its title and became champions for the fourth time.

2011/12
The sixth Top4 tournament took place on 19./20. May in the Enervie Arena in Hagen . After last year's runner-up TSV Tröster Breitengüßbach had defeated the defending champion ALBA Urspring in the semifinals, they also won the final in front of 1,400 spectators against the Top4 newcomer Eisbären Bremerhaven, who had defeated the hosts Phoenix Hagen Juniors in the semifinals.

2012/13
The seventh edition of the TOP4 tournament took place on 11/12. May in the Stechert-Arena in Bamberg. With TSV Tröster Breitengüßbach, the winner of the NBBL title is the first to host the final round of the German championship. The record winners of the Urspring School prevailed against the hosts in the final and won their 5th title in front of almost 3500 spectators.

At the eighth Top4 tournament on 17./18. May 2014 in front of 2,200 spectators in the Artland-Arena in Quakenbrück , Alba Berlin was able to dethrone defending champion Cybex Urspring.

2014/15
At the ninth Top4 tournament on 16./17. May 2015 in front of a total of 5,000 spectators on both days in the former Ischelandhalle in Hagen , for the first time last year's runner-up and five-time title holder Team Urspring was not represented. The later title winner FC Bayern Munich was able to dethrone defending champion Alba Berlin in the semi-finals and won the final against the youngsters from Eintracht Frankfurt.

2015/16
The Top4 tournament of the 2015/16 season took place in the Kuhberghalle in Ulm . For the first time since junior basketball league 2012/13 succeeded in TSV Tröster Breitengüßbach to qualify for the final. With a win over Alba Berlin , the second title was won after 2012.

2016/17
The eleventh Top4 tournament was held on 26./27. May 2017 in the Fraport Arena in Frankfurt am Main . In the final there was the Munich Staderby between the International Basketball Academy Munich and FC Bayern Munich . Bayern retained the upper hand and were able to book the second NBBL title in their second Top4 participation.

2017/18
The Top4 tournament of the 2017/18 season took place on 26./27. May 2018 in the Artland-Arena in Quakenbrück . Alba Berlin managed to defeat the defending champions FC Bayern Munich in the semi-finals and in the end secured the third NBBL title in the club's history. For Bayern it was the first Top4 participation without winning the championship.
