Stefan Julius Rapp

Stefan Julius Rapp (born February 27, 1880 in Hardheim ; † October 12, 1938 in Radolfzell on Lake Constance , buried in Hardheim), was a teacher of mathematics and natural sciences at the Mettnau High School in Radolfzell, local history researcher and genealogist .

Life

Stefan Julius Rapp was born as the son of a main teacher. He first attended high school in Tauberbischofsheim , then moved to Bruchsal , where he graduated from high school. In 1904 he began studying at the Technical University of Karlsruhe . This was followed by a degree in mathematics and physics at the University of Heidelberg . In 1910 he became a teaching trainee. From 1919 he worked as a teacher at the Mettnau high school in Radolfzell. After 1933, Rapp was the head of the Volksbund für Deutschtum Abroad (VDA) in Radolfzell. He wrote a history of his hometown Hardheim and between 1930 and 1937 published three volumes on Hardheim - building blocks for his history . There are also drafts for other publications on the history of the city: The history of the Hardheim parish from the 13th century , All Hardheim pastors from the 13th century . Rapp's research was the basis of the Hardheimer Heimatbuch from 1988.
