Stefan Kläsener

Stefan Kläsener ( Stefan Hans Kläsener ; born October 15, 1964 in Dortmund ) is a German journalist and theologian . Since December 15, 2014, he has headed the editorial department of the Schleswig-Holstein newspaper publisher in Flensburg (SH: Z).

Life

After graduating from high school in 1984 at the Burggymnasium Essen , Kläsener studied theology , philosophy and German studies in Bonn , Jerusalem and Munich . At the end of his university studies he graduated as a theologian. He completed his training as a journalist at the journalism school of the Catholic Church, the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists (ifp) in Munich. During his journalistic training he sat in on the Neue Ruhr Zeitung / Neue Rhein-Zeitung (NRZ), the German Press Agency (dpa), the Saarländischer Rundfunk (SR) and Sonntag aktuell . He volunteered for the Lübecker Nachrichten .

After Kläsener worked as a freelance journalist for a while , he worked for the Fuldaer Zeitung (FZ), initially as an editor, then from 1996 to 2006 as the editor-in-chief of the Schlüchterner FZ headline Kinzigtal-Nachrichten .

From January 2006 Kläsener was Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Braunschweiger Zeitung (BZ). On November 26, 2009, the WAZ media group announced that Kläsener would temporarily take over the successor to the BZ editor-in-chief Paul-Josef Raue , with whom he has jointly managed the BZ since 2006, who will change to Thüringer Allgemeine at the turn of the year . Since the beginning of 2010, Kläsener has been entrusted with running the business as acting BZ editor-in-chief .

When Kläsener moved to Westfalenpost as deputy editor-in-chief on July 1, 2010, his successor at BZ was Armin Maus . In February 2011 he became editor-in-chief of the newspaper as the successor to Bodo Zapp. In December 2014, Kläsener took over the editorial management of the Schleswig-Holstein newspaper publisher in Flensburg, succeeding Helge Matthiesen . This newspaper group includes a total of 15 titles, including the "Flensburger Tageblatt".
