Stefan Krell (born June 12, 1992 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football goalkeeper .
Career
Krell started his career in his hometown at SR Donaufeld Wien . In 2001 he moved to FK Austria Wien . After a year with Austria, he joined FC Stadlau in 2002 . In 2006 he went to AKA St. Pölten in Lower Austria .
After two seasons at the academy, he switched to the regional division FAC Team for Vienna in 2008 . For the 2010/11 season he returned to Austria, where he joined the third-class amateur team. After Pascal Grünwald was out after a groin operation, Krell was a substitute goalkeeper in the professional squad for the first time in December 2011.
He returned to the FAC for the 2012/13 season. In January 2013 it was awarded to the second division TSV Hartberg . He made his debut for Styria in the second division in April 2013, when he was in the starting line-up against SCR Altach on matchday 26 of the 2012/13 season .
After six months at Hartberg, he moved to SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 in the summer of 2013 . With the Burgenländer he had to relegate to the regional league in 2014 . After he had been a substitute goalkeeper in the relegation season and had only made two appearances in the second division, he was the undisputed regular goalkeeper in the Regionalliga Ost. In both the 2014/15 season and the 2015/16 season, he was in the Parndorf goal in all 30 league games. After not missing a league minute for over two years, this finally happened in March 2017 when he was replaced by Bernhard Pulker at half-time against the amateurs of FC Admira Wacker Mödling .
In July 2017, he switched to league competitor SV Horn . With Horn he was promoted to the 2nd division in 2018. In February 2019 it was awarded to the second team of Bundesliga club FC Wacker Innsbruck . After the loan ended, he did not return to Horn.
He then moved to Romania to the second division club FC Dunărea Călărași for the 2019/20 season .
