Stefan Lochau

Stefan Lochau (* 1960 in Berlin ) is a German actor and theater director .

Life

After graduating from high school, Lochau began studying political science and sports, but switched to acting out of enthusiasm for the theater. In the late 1980s he went to Paris , where he studied from 1987 to 1990 at L'École Internationale de Théâtre with Jacques Lecoq . Since 1990 he has been working as a freelance actor, occasionally also as a director, mainly in Berlin.

Since 1997 he has been part of the permanent ensemble of the Berlin Vaganten stage , where he a. a. Starring roles in Endspiel (2005; as Clov) and in The Funny Wives of Windsor (2007, as Herr Fluth). In 2008 he played the police psychologist Kobert in Lutz Huebner's new play Ehrensache at the Vaganten Stage . For many years he has been on stage there regularly in all of Shakespeare's works in all female roles. In 2010 he staged a stage version of the French feature film La Journée de la Jupe as his first directorial work underdogs.de at the Vaganten stage ; the production was nominated in 2010 for the IKARUs award for special achievements in children's and youth theater. His second directorial work followed in 2013 at the Vaganten stage, the play 4 BOAT PEOPLE about the fate of four asylum-seeking Africans, whose flight across the Mediterranean to Europe ends in detention.

From 2002 to 2008 he played with the international theater group Familie Flöz . He was on tour for a total of six years with the piece Ristorante Immortale . In 2007 he staged Molière's comedy Der Geizige at the Greizer Autumn Theater . In 2015 he developed and staged the world premiere of the play »Diktature« with the Swiss theater company Utopik Family in the old slaughterhouse in St. Immer . In September 2015 he staged the solo play Die Büchsen der Pandora by Paula Feuerborn at the Pankower Theatertage . He also staged the solo program Berlin, I love you! of the comedian Cyrill Berndt .

Lochau is active in the free Berlin theater scene and also participated in socio-cultural projects. As a guest lecturer he was a. a. at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin (2008; director in Neues von Abben ) or the Academy of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) in Frankfurt / Main.

Since the late 1990s, Lochau has occasionally taken part in mostly smaller film and television roles; The theater has always been the focus of his acting.

On police call 110: One of us (2010) was the suspicious bar waiter Peter, known as "Porno-Peter"; in the Christmas film Beutolomäus und die Wunderflöte (2011) he played the roasting machine dealer. He also had a small role in the ZDF multi-part series Blochin (2015). He played Stefan Maas, the husband of the series character Tilda ( Corinna Harfouch ).

In the feature film Weak Heart Drop (2015) he played the male lead, u. a. at the side of Meral Perin and Tessa Mittelstaedt . He also had episode roles in the television series Löwenzahn (2000; as Tonmann Hannes), Der Landarzt (2001) and SOKO Wismar (2015; as foreman Jens Nowak).

Lochau lives in Berlin .
