Stefan Lorenz (born September 19, 1981 in East Berlin ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The defender's career began at BFC Dynamo . Then Lorenz moved to VfL Wolfsburg , where he was mainly used in the amateur team in the Oberliga and regional league . He played a Bundesliga game at VfL. In 2005 Lorenz then went to Rot-Weiss Essen , where his contract was not extended in the summer of 2009. He played 94 games for RWE and scored two goals. In 2009 he no longer received a contract with Rot-Weiss Essen and initially trained with the association of contract footballers . On October 22, 2009 it was announced that he was moving to the 3rd division for Wuppertaler SV Borussia . With the WSV he was relegated from the third division and played in the Regionalliga West after the 2010/11 season . In 2012 he ended his career. In 2014 Lorenz took up the position of player coach at the Essen club TuS Essen-West 81 . With that he also made it to the national league. This was followed by the change as assistant coach at Rot-Weiss Essen for the 2015/16 season. On July 1, 2016, we said goodbye to football and to Hafenstrasse. Since then, Lorenz has been working in sales at the Jacob Stauder private brewery in Essen .

His brother Michael Lorenz is also a soccer player and last played for KFC Uerdingen 05 in the 2010/11 season .

Just like his brother, Stefan Lorenz is also active as a youth coach at the Bottrop district league club SV Vonderort 1949, he has been responsible for the club's C-youth team since the 2010/11 season.
