Stefan A. Lukacs

Stefan A. Lukacs (* 1982 in Vienna ) is an Austrian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Stefan A. Lukacs studied screenwriting and directing at the New York Film Academy.

In the short film Void (2012) with Laurence Rupp and Anton Noori , he told the story of the asylum seeker case Bakary J., who was abused by WEGA officials . The film was shown at the Shortynale 2013, the Cannes Court Métrage 2013 Festival, the 2013 Sofia International Film Festival and at the International Human Rights Film Festival This Human World .

His first feature film, Cops , for which he was responsible for the direction and screenplay, was awarded the Audience Award for Feature Film and the Award for Socially Relevant Film at the 2018 Max Ophüls Film Festival, Anna Suk was named Best Young Actor (supporting role) for her performance honored the Nicky. Laurence Rupp and Anton Noori play again in the film. Rupp embodies the WEGA officer Christoph, who is in training, who shoots a mentally ill man in supposed self-defense and as a result begins to suffer from trauma symptoms and wants to compensate for these with excesses of violence. Christoph's father Heinz is played by Roland Düringer .

June 2019 he leads in the fourth episode Ostfriesen grave of ZDF - Ostfriesland crime series director.
