Stefan Schulte (Manager)
Stefan Schulte (born April 9, 1960 in Wuppertal ) is a German manager . He has been CEO of Fraport AG , the operating company of Frankfurt Airport , since September 2009 .
Life
After training as a banker and studying business administration Schulte was at the University of Cologne to Dr. rer. pole. PhD . In 1991 he joined Deutsche Bank's corporate development department . From 1996 to 2000, Schulte was Head of Controlling and Interconnection at Mannesmann Arcor in Eschborn and then Chief Financial Officer at Infostrada SpA, the Italian fixed line subsidiary of the Mannesmann / Vodafone Group based in Milan . From 2001 to 2003 Schulte was a member of the board of directors and labor director of Deutz AG in Cologne , where he was in charge of the commercial area as well as human resources and law .
Stefan Schulte has been working for Fraport since 2003. As CFO, he was initially responsible for the commercial area, IT services and the investment business . In April 2007 he was appointed deputy chairman of the board of Fraport AG.
Fields of activity
In his position as CEO, Schulte heads the Fraport Group with the central departments Acquisitions and Investments, Compliance, Values and Risk Management, Corporate Development, Environment and Sustainability, Corporate Communications as well as Auditing and Legal Matters and Contracts. Schulte sees the most important challenges in the investments for the modernization and expansion of the flight operations facilities and their financing.
Memberships
Schulte is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Airport Association, Airports Council International (ACI) , on the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Post AG and holds various mandates at universities, foundations and associations in the Rhine-Main region. He was chairman of the advisory board of the Erich Becker Foundation .
In January 2012 Schulte was accepted into the government commission on the German Corporate Governance Code . Schulte has been a member of the executive committee of the CDU Economic Council since June 2013 .
On June 1, 2016, Schulte took over the honorary chairmanship of the Federal Association of the German Aviation Industry (BDL) from Klaus-Peter Siegloch as President .
Schulte has been President of the German Airports Association (ADV) since July 1, 2018 .
