Stefan Siller

Stefan Siller (* 1950 in Herford ) is a German journalist and former radio presenter .

Career

After graduating from high school at Friedrichs-Gymnasium Herford, Siller completed a traineeship at Neue Westfälische . He then studied politics and journalism in Berlin . He was a moderator and author for the broadcaster Free Berlin . In 1978 Siller came to the then Süddeutscher Rundfunk in Stuttgart .

For the then radio station SDR 3, Siller developed and moderated the listener hit parade show Top Tausend X (1989) together with Thomas Schmidt . From 1988 to 2015 Siller was editor and presenter of the talk show People , which he presented alternately with Wolfgang Heim . People ran on SDR 3 until 1998 and since the merger of Süddeutschem Rundfunk and Südwestfunk it can be heard on the traditional broadcasting slot Monday to Friday and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the radio program SWR1 Baden-Württemberg . In People , both prominent people and people unknown to the general public are interviewed. Siller will be leaving SWR at the end of 2015. In his last broadcast on December 23, he was interviewed by his colleague Wolfgang Heim. His successor in the team of people is Nicole Köster .

His biography Curious ... for people and the whole world was published as an e-book on December 16, 2015 and as a hardback edition on January 11, 2016.
