Stefan Thomas (* 1975 ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

He studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . First (2000) and second (2002) state examination in Mainz . He was a research assistant at Meinrad Dreher at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz from October 2002 to February 2004. After receiving his doctorate in 2004 as a Dr. iur. with the topic of corporate responsibility and restructuring according to EC antitrust law , he was a lawyer in the Düsseldorf office of an international law firm in the antitrust law department from March 2004 to August 2006. From September 2006 to December 2009 he was a research assistant / academic advisor a. Currently at the Meinrad Dreher chair. After completing his habilitation in 2009 at the University of Mainz. His main research interests are antitrust law, corporate and corporate law, in particular board liability issues, insurance law: insurance contract law, in particular D&O insurance and energy law.
