Michael Kling

Michael Kling (born September 25, 1972 in Mainz ) is professor of civil law , commercial and economic law , European law and industrial property law at the Philipps University of Marburg .

Life

From 1993 to 1998 studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . After the first state examination in 1998, the doctorate in 2000 on the subject of "The admissibility of non-awarding regulations" with Prof. Dr. Meinrad Dreher and the second state examination in Mainz in 2001, he was a research assistant at the chair for civil law, commercial and economic law, European law and comparative law (Meinrad Dreher) from 2002 to 2008 . After completing his habilitation in 2008 on the subject of “language risks in private law” and being awarded the venia legendi for civil law, commercial and economic law, European law and insurance law, he took over the professorship for civil law, commercial and economic law, European law and industrial property law at Philipps in 2009 -University of Marburg. In 2010 he refused a second call to the Friedrich Schiller University Jena . From 2014 to 2016 he was Vice Dean of the Law Faculty. He is a member of the board of directors of the Marburg Cooperative Institute (ifG Marburg).
