Stefan Trenovatz

Stefan Trenovatz (born June 28, 1912 in Mannersdorf an der Rabnitz , Burgenland ; † December 29, 2004 in Lockenhaus , Burgenland) was an Austrian politician .

Life

Stefan Trenovatz was born in the Klostermarienberg district of Mannersdorf , where he also attended elementary school. Trenovatz then graduated from the farming school at the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture in Bad Tatzmannsdorf and mainly worked in his parents' business, which he had to take over in 1937. In 1929 Trenovatz joined the Socialist Youth. As a member of the German Wehrmacht , Trenovatz fell into British captivity after the end of the war.

In 1950, Trenovatz was elected mayor of Klostermarienberg as a candidate of the SPÖ , an office that he would hold for 20 years until 1970. When Klostermarienberg became part of Mannersdorf an der Rabnitz in 1971, Trenovatz was also elected mayor of Mannersdorf, and served for a further eleven years, until 1982. On March 19, 1953, he moved to Eisenstadt as a member of the SPÖ's state parliament , and sat there until on June 17, 1970 in the Burgenland State Parliament .

Two days later, on June 19, 1970, he was sworn in as a member of the Austrian Federal Council, and so served until December 31, 1973. In the second half of 1973, he chaired the regional committee as President of the Federal Council .

Stefan Trenovatz was awarded the title of Economic Council in 1966.
