Stefanie "Steffi" Egger (born June 13, 1987 in Meran / South Tyrol ) is an Italian handball player .
Career
Stefanie Egger started her career at the club in her hometown Tesimo , SC Laugen Tisens, and was appointed to the Italian national team for the first time at the age of 14. She was the youngest national handball player of all time. After appearances in the Italian A2 series (at SC Schenna and SV Kaltern ), Egger played for three clubs in the A1 series ( Teramo , Mortara and Dossobuono ). In the summer of 2005 Egger moved to the 2nd Bundesliga (South) at HSG Bensheim / Auerbach . She stayed there until 2008. Then she moved with her trainer Ildikó Barna to the 1st Bundesliga at DJK / MJC Trier . From 2010 to 2013, the cyclist played at Bayer 04 Leverkusen , which she left in 2013 with an unknown goal.
