Steffen Müller (media entrepreneur)
Steffen Müller (born 26 June 1955 ) is the managing partner of several media companies of the private broadcasters , such as the broadcaster Rockland Radio in Rhineland-Palatinate and Radio 21 in Lower Saxony (as of 2013).
Life
After studying law and German at the Saarland University and the Sorbonne in Paris , Steffen Müller began his career in 1985 as a media manager at Saarländischer Rundfunk , where he was hired as the personal assistant to the director at the time .
In 1989, Müller switched to private radio as the founding managing director of Radio Salü , a subsidiary of Europe 1 , the Saarland-based station of the French media group Groupe Lagardère .
In 1992, Steffen Müller went to the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group to set up the radio stations Radio Brocken and Antenne Sachsen , which he later linked as managing director of Hitradio Antenne as a radio network for the three stations mentioned under the Hit-Radio Antenne brand .
In 2001, Müller moved to MOIRA Rundfunk GmbH of Dieter Schaub's media union and developed the company into a radio group with stakes in 27 radio stations in Germany and Austria.
In 2010 Müller became managing director of Rockland Radio and Radio 21 .
