Stefie Restle

Stephanie "Stefie" Restle , also: Stefanie or Steffi (* December 24, 1901 in Beuron ; † in the period from October 7 to 9, 1978 in Stuttgart ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament .

Life

Stefie Restle was born the daughter of a forester. After attending elementary school, the monastery boarding school and the commercial college, she completed a commercial internship in wholesale. From 1917 to 1921 she worked as a clerk and stenographer in Freiburg im Breisgau and from 1921 to 1925 as a housekeeper and domestic help in Norway . From 1925 until her dismissal in May 1933, which took place for political reasons, she was employed as an employee at the employment office in Durlach and at the state employment office (from 1928 Reichsanstalt für Arbeitsvermittlungs und Arbeitslosenversicherung ) in Stuttgart. After a short period of unemployment, she worked from November 1934 to January 1935 as a typist at the Tietz & Co. department store in Stuttgart. She then worked as an accountant at Auto-Staiger in Stuttgart until the end of 1947 , and from 1939 as head of payroll accounting. From 1945 to 1948 she was also the chairwoman of the local works council.

Political activity

Restle joined the SPD in 1926 and was city ​​councilor in Stuttgart from 1948 to 1951 . In 1950 she was elected as a member of the state parliament of Württemberg-Baden , to which she belonged until 1952. From 1952 to 1953 she was a member of the state constituent assembly and then until 1968 a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg. As a parliamentarian, her main focus was on social policy. She was a member of the social and cultural policy committee, the petitions committee and the standing committee. Her concerns were u. a. war victims, welfare for the blind and social housing.
