The Steinschartenkopf is a 2615 m high rock summit, part of the Hochlichtgruppe in the Allgäu Alps . It is the sixth highest peak in the Allgäu Alps and is located between the Wilder Mann in the north and the Hohen Licht in the south. The popular Heilbronner Weg leads over the summit .
Ascent
The Steinschartenkopf is usually only climbed when walking the Heilbronner Weg . As a single destination, it is of little interest, but on the Heilbronner Weg it represents the highest point of the entire climb. Coming from the direction of Rappenseehütte , the only ladder of the Höhenweg leads to the summit. After a few more meters, a ladder bridge leads to the path towards the Socktalscharte.
