The Wilde Mann is a 2577 m high mountain in the main ridge of the Allgäu Alps . It is located north of the Steinschartenkopf and southwest of the Bockkarkopf . The Heilbronner Weg , from which the summit can be easily reached in a few minutes, runs along the eastern flank of the Wilder Mann .
To the west, the Wild Man sends a long ridge, at the foot of which the Wild Man stood. The Wild Mändle was a bold, over 30 meter high rock tower that fell victim to weathering and a thunderstorm on May 8, 1962 . Today only a shattered heap of rubble testifies to its former location.
In about a third of the wall height in the southwest face of the Wilder Mann there is a stalactite cave about 120 meters deep and 40 meters high , the entrance to which can be reached in about 10 minutes of easy climbing.
