The Bockkarkopf is a 2609  m high mountain part of the main ridge of the Allgäu Alps . It is the ninth highest peak in the Allgäu Alps and is located between the Wilder Mann in the south-west and the Hochfrottspitze in the north-east. The popular Heilbronner Weg leads over the pyramid-like summit .

The border between Bavaria and Tyrol runs over the ridge .

Ascent

The Bockkarkopf is usually only climbed when walking the Heilbronner Weg. As a single destination, however, it can also be done as a round trip from the Waltenberger-Haus over the Hintere Bockkar and the Socktalscharte. The Waltenberger Haus is then reached again via the Bockkarscharte and the Vordere Bockkar. The tour is also possible in reverse order.
