Steph Song

Steph Song (born April 19, 1984 in Kuching , Sarawak ) is a Malaysian actress of Chinese origin.

Life

Song grew up in Saskatoon , Saskatchewan , Canada . In 2004, she was voted one of the "2004/2005 Ten Sexiest Women in the World" and in 2006 as the "Sexiest Woman in the World" by the Asian readers of FHM magazine. She gained fame as an actress through her role Stephanie Chang in the television series Achar! (2004–2005), who won the “World Bronze Medla for Situation Comedy” at the New York Television Festival in 2005 , as well as through her role as Brianna “Bree” Jyang in the TV series jPod (2008). She had other series appearances in The Secret Life of Us (2001), Heartlanders (2002), First Touch (2002–2003), The Singapore Short Story Project (2003) which won the Asian Television Award in the “Best Drama Series” category won, Godiva’s (2006), Dragon Boys (2007) and as Roulette in Smallville (2009).

Films she starred in include The Long Lunch (2003), Love Poetry (2004), Everything's Gone Green (2006), War (2007), Waiting in Beijing (2008), Dim Sum Funeral (2008), Frozen - Something has survived (2009), Paradox - The Parallel World (2010) and Maximum Conviction (2012).

For her work in Canadian film and television, Song received five Leo Award nominations and one Gemini Award nomination from 2007 to 2010 .
