Stephan Leopold Justus Richard Prinz zur Lippe (born May 24, 1959 in Detmold ) is a German lawyer, tax advisor and politician. He is the son of Armin Prinz zur Lippe and the biologist Traute Becker and has been head of the Lippe family since his father's death in 2015 .

Stephan Prinz zur Lippe, the only son of his parents, has been married to Maria Countess zu Solms-Laubach (* 1968), the daughter of Otto Graf zu Solms-Laubach and Madeleine Princess zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg , since 1994 . The couple has 5 children, namely Bernhard (* 1995), Heinrich-Otto (* 1997), Wilhelm (* 1999), Luise (* 2001) and Mathilde (* 2003). The family lives in Detmold Castle .

The grandfather of Prinz zur Lippe was the last ruling prince in Detmold, Prince Leopold IV zur Lippe (1871-1949), who abdicated on November 12, 1918. With the November Revolution of 1918, the Principality of Lippe was converted into a free state that existed until 1947. Prinz zur Lippe studied law at the University of Bonn and passed his first state examination there in 1984 . In 2013 he and Christian Lindner won the Günther Nolting Prize of the FDP. Also in 2013, the Young Union of the Paderborn District Association named him “Rascal of the Year 2013”.
