Stephan Schleiss

Stephan Schleiss (born December 26, 1972 ; resident in Engelberg ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ).

biography

Schleiss studied economics with a focus on banking & finance at the University of Zurich from 1992 to 2001 and graduated with a licentiate. He then worked at the Swiss private bank Vontobel in Zurich. As vice director he worked in market risk control. Between 1998 and 2003 he led the Heavy Mountain Fusilier Company IV / 48 in the Swiss Army ; today he is on the staff of the 29 Mountain Infantry Battalion. Schleiss lives in Steinhausen and is single.

From 2004 to 2010 Schleiss was in the Cantonal Council of Zug and was President of the preliminary advisory commission on the new Financial Budget Act as well as a member of other commissions, including the State Economic Commission. From 2004 to 2008 he chaired SVP Steinhausen, and between 2008 and 2010 the SVP of the Canton of Zug. In January 2011, he took over the Directorate for Education and Culture in the Zug government council in place of the not re-elected Patrick Cotti .
