Florian Weber (born August 2, 1981 , resident in Zug ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ). He has been a member of the government council of the Canton of Zug since 2019 .

biography

After basic training as an electrician, Florian Weber trained as a telematics engineer . He then studied business informatics at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences from 2012 to 2016 and graduated with a Bachelor's degree. In 2013 he founded a company in the information technology and telecommunications sector, which he led until 2018. Florian Weber lives in Walchwil and is single.

politics

From 2011 to 2018 Weber was a member of the Zug Cantonal Council , where he was parliamentary group leader and member of various commissions , including the cantonal commission for spatial planning and civil engineering. He has been on the board of directors of the FDP Walchwil since 2003, has chaired it since 2016, and Weber has been a member of the management of the FDP of the Canton of Zug since 2017. In January 2019, as the newly elected government councilor , he took over the leadership of the building department of the canton of Zug and replaced Urs Hürlimann , who was no longer running for election .
