Andreas Hostettler

Andreas Hostettler (born January 26, 1968 in Tokyo ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ). He is a councilor for the canton of Zug and heads the interior management.

Life

Andreas Hostettler was born in Tokyo in 1968 and moved to Switzerland at the age of 13. He has lived in the canton of Zug since 1992 and in Baar since 1993 , which he has since accepted citizenship .

Hostettler is a trained electrician. He was an entrepreneur and owner of several companies. After his election to the government council, he sold most of the shares in his entrepreneurs. These include Nussbaumer Elektro AG in Zug and Baar, Tresolar in Steinhausen , E-Team Plus AG and Elektro Weber & Partner in Menzingen .

From 2013 to 2016 Hostettler was President of the FDP Baar. In the elections on October 5, 2014, he was elected to the Cantonal Council, of which he was a member until 2018. From 2016 to 2018 he was President of the FDP Zug.

In the elections on October 7, 2018, Hostettler was elected to the government council.

Hostettler is married and has two grown children.
