Heinz Tännler

Heinz Tännler (born May 10, 1960 ; resident in Innertkirchen ) is a Swiss lawyer , sports official and politician ( SVP ).

Lawyer

Tännler completed the Matura type E in 1981 . He studied law at the University of Zurich and graduated in 1989 with a licentiate . In 1991 he was admitted to the bar and notary public in the Canton of Zug . From 1991 to 2003 he worked as a lawyer specializing in corporate law and a notary in Zug .

Sports official

Tännler was a single judge for the Swiss Ice Hockey Association . In 2004 he moved to the world football association FIFA in Zurich . There he was director of the legal department until 2007 and as secretary of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee responsible for the criminal proceedings following the events of the World Cup qualifying match between the national football teams of Turkey and Switzerland on November 16, 2005 in Istanbul . After the game, there was violence between players from the two teams. FIFA announced its decision on December 7, 2006.

Tännler was also President of the TC Zug and the Zug Tennis Association.

politics

Heinz Tännler was a member of the Zug Cantonal Council from 1994 to 2003 . On September 27, 2001, the then FDP canton council survived the Leibacher attack in the Zug parliament. In 2002 he switched to SVP and ran unsuccessfully for the government council . It failed because of the then building director Hans-Beat Uttinger .

Since January 1, 2007 he has been a member of the government council as a candidate for the SVP. As a member of the road construction commission and as the construction director of the north access to Zug / Baar, Tännler has since been campaigning, among other things, for a stronger infrastructural connection between the canton of Zug and the metropolitan region of Zurich .

Private

Tännler lives in partnership and has three children from a previous marriage. He lives in Zug.
