Stephan Waak (* 1980 ) is a German actor .

Life

Stephan Waak, who grew up temporarily in Stralsund as a teenager , completed his acting training from 2004 to 2008 at the School for Drama in Kiel . During his training he already appeared at the children's and youth theater "Piccolo" in Cottbus .

After his training he had stage engagements at various theaters in Germany and Austria . He was a guest a. at the Children's and Youth Theater Speyer (2008), as Hans in The Devil with the Three Golden Hair at the Mecklenburgisches Landestheater (2009) and in the Linzer Stadtkeller in the independent production Die Blutgräfin (director: Peter Pertusini ).

Since the 2013/14 season he has been a guest at Theater Vorpommern , where he a. a. portrayed the hunter Samiel in the opera Der Freischütz with great success . In the 2019/20 season, he will take on the role of lawyer Njegus in Lehár's operetta The Merry Widow .

Waak has appeared in numerous short films and also in some TV productions. In the Charlotte Lindholm crime scene murder in the first division (2011) he embodied the unouted, gay professional footballer Kevin Faber "highly sensitive and haunted" . In the 10th season of the ZDF series SOKO Wismar (2014), he had a dramatic main episode role as the suspected son of a murdered former police officer and stamp collector . In 2009, he and his wife, whom he met during their acting training in Kiel, founded an acting school for young people in Stralsund. In September 2017 he and his wife, the actress Christiane Waak, took over the Café Koeppen in Greifswald , which both have been running as a literary and theater café since then. Waak has one son and lives with his family in Greifswald.
