Scarlett Lee

Scarlett Lee (born September 20, 1997 ) is a British singer. In 2018 she finished second in the fifteenth season of the UK music competition The X Factor . She had previously been seen in the fourteenth season, but where she was eliminated in the Six-Chair Challenge .

Career

2017: The X Factor

Lee first applied for The X Factor in 2017 at the age of 19, where she reached the Six-Chair Challenge . There she was first given a seat by her mentor Sharon Ousbourne , after singing Without You by David Guetta and Usher . She later had to give up her seat after losing to Rai-Elle Williams and Alisah Bonaobra in a sing-off .

2018: return to The X Factor

Lee decided again in 2018 to audition on the show and in front of jurors Simon Cowell , Robbie Williams , Ayda Field and Louis Tomlinson . In her first audition , she sang her self-written song Survival , but was stopped by Cowell, who was not enthusiastic about the song. As a second song she sang Never Enough by Loren Allred , which earned her four “yes” from the jury and the enthusiasm of the audience.

After the quarterfinals, where Bella Penfold was eliminated, Lee was the last candidate in her Girls category . In the final, however, she could only reach second place behind Dalton Harris .

2019 – today: Upcoming Music

In 2019 Lee performed at the Derby Festival and Pride in Aberdeen. During an interview with the Daily Mirror , she announced that she was working on her solo debut album and was also planning to launch a plus-size clothing line.

Private life

Lee was born on September 20, 1997 in Surrey , England. Before she appeared on The X Factor , she worked as a make-up artist. During the show, she was involved in fire when her brother's trailer caught fire. Lee was in the neighboring car at the time and was later transported to a hospital. In January 2019, she got engaged to boyfriend Nathan Shaw.
