Louis Tomlinson (2014)

Louis William Tomlinson (born December 24, 1991 in Doncaster ) is a British pop musician and songwriter . He became known as the singer of the boy band One Direction and also performs as a solo artist.

Private life

Louis Tomlinson was in 1991 in England South Yorkshire born to Troy Austin and Johannah Deakin. The couple separated shortly after he was born. He grew up with his mother and took the family name of his future stepfather, Mark Tomlinson. They have four daughters together (* 1998, * 2000, * 2004). After separating in 2011, his mother remarried and gave birth to twins in 2014. His biological father Troy Austin also has another daughter (* 1999), but Louis has no regular contact with her or with him. In January 2016, Louis Tomlinson became the father of a son after a brief romance with the American Briana Jungwirth. Since 2017 he has had a relationship with the British Eleanor Calder again.

Career

Louis Tomlinson began his acting career . He was in the series Fat Friends (1 episode) and Waterloo Road as well as in the film Just About Her Corpse (2006) to see. In 2010 he took part in the casting show The X Factor . There he took third place and became part of the boy group One Direction .

He dedicated the song Two of Us , released in March 2019, to his mother, who died of leukemia in 2016 . He returned to The X Factor as a judge alongside Ayda Field , Robbie Williams and Simon Cowell in 2018 .

His world tour planned for 2020 has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

Soccer

In 2013, Tomlinson, whose footballing experience up until then had been limited to playing on a hobby team, was hired by his hometown club Doncaster Rovers on a non-contract basis, having previously played at a charity game at the local Keepmoat Stadium . This agreement included that Tomlinson was allowed to participate as a test player in the game operations of the reserve team, provided that this was compatible with his activities with One Direction. After he was supposed to be used for the first time in early September 2013, but then did not play, he completed another charity game shortly afterwards in favor of the leukemia- ill professional Stilijan Petrow for the Scottish club Celtic Glasgow .

He made his official debut for the Doncaster Rovers reserves in February 2014 when he came on as a substitute in the 0-0 draw against the Rotherham United reserves in a crowd of 4,000. After participating in another charity match of his bandmate Niall Horan , it was announced in June 2014 that Tomlinson wanted to take over his home club as a partner along with the chairman of the club, John Ryan . Then it became known that a deal had not come off because the crowdfunding campaign did not generate enough money.
