Liam Payne
Liam James Payne (born August 29, 1993 in Wolverhampton , West Midlands ) is a British singer and songwriter . He became known as a member of the boy band One Direction .
Life
Liam Payne was born on August 29, 1993. He has two older sisters and grew up in his native Wolverhampton . Payne was born three weeks prematurely, which is why he had a variety of health problems, including one of his kidneys was dysfunctional. At the age of six Payne began to show signs of musical talent, but initially pursued the dream of becoming an athlete. At the age of fourteen Payne decided to concentrate fully on his singing.
Payne was dating the singer Cheryl Cole . Their son was born on March 22, 2017. In July 2018, the two announced their separation.
Musical career
Liam Payne first appeared as a nominee on the UK edition of the casting show The X Factor in 2008 but was advised to try again in two years because of his young age. In 2010 Payne took part again in The X Factor. He started as a single candidate, but on the advice of guest juror Nicole Scherzinger , the band One Direction was formed together with the four other candidates Niall Horan , Harry Styles , Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson . They came third and signed a record deal with Sony Music afterwards .
Liam Payne signed a solo contract with Capitol Records in July 2016 . On May 19, 2017, his first solo single, Strip That Down , was released, a collaboration with rapper Quavo . His second single, Get Low , a collaboration with German-Russian DJ Zedd , followed in July . Soon after, in October, his third single, Bedroom Floor, was released with the help of Charlie Puth . On January 5, 2018 , the song For You was released in collaboration with the singer Rita Ora . On April 20, 2018, his single Familiar was released , together with J Balvin .
He also released his own EP on August 24, 2018, called First Time . It contains four songs.
On October 5th the single Polaroid , written by the English DJ Jonas Blue and starring Liam Payne and singer Lennon Stella, was released.
