Jonas Blue (born August 2, 1989 in London ), real name Guy James Robin , is an English music producer .

biography

Jonas Blue became famous for his tropical house version of the classic Fast Car by Tracy Chapman , the original from 1988. Sophie Elton alias Dakota , a student at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance , played one of her performances as the singer discovered in a pub in his hometown of London. In December 2015 his mix was released in Australia and Sweden. In Australia the song reached number one and five-times platinum status , in Sweden number 2. In January 2016 the song entered the official charts in Great Britain and Germany as well as the dance charts in the USA. Jonas Blue's version of Fast Car was released at the same time as a version by Swedish DJ TobTok , which was far less successful.

Jonas Blue released Perfect Strangers , a collaboration with the then rather unknown British singer JP Cooper, as the follow-up single . The song also reached the top 10 in numerous countries as well as gold status in Germany and platinum status in Great Britain. In November 2016 his third single By Your Side was released , which was sung by singer Raye . In his home country, it followed on from the success of its predecessors, and in other Western European countries it was again placed in the top 100.

The song Mama was released as a single on May 5, 2017 . Here the Australian singer William Singe worked as a singer.

Jonas Blue released the compilation album Electronic Nature - The Mix 2017 on July 7, 2017 .
