So stay. "

“All you have to do is stay, just a minute.
Just take your time.
The clock is ticking.
So stay

All you have to do is wait a second.
Your hands on mine
The clock is ticking.
So stay there. "

Music video

A total of two official music videos have been released for Stay . First, on February 23, 2017, a lyric video premiered on YouTube. You can see impressions of a desert landscape, with the main focus falling again and again on a square mirror that was placed in different places. During the impressions, the text passages , as you know it from typical poetry videos, are faded in again and again .

On April 18, 2017, a second music video was released, in which Cara and Zedd can be seen. Both stayed on the same floor in a hotel, the video shows two scenarios of a daily routine for both of them. During the first scenario you can see them both getting up and getting ready. They want to go down using the elevator. Cara is already in the elevator, Zedd sees the door closing, tries to get into the elevator, but fails. Scenes follow in which everyone spends the rest of the day alone in a restaurant. Cara enjoys coffee while Zedd plays pool . When the first chorus occurs, the scenario can be seen in reverse, before the story begins again with the second verse. The second story begins right up to the move-out scene. This time Cara stops the elevator so that Zedd can go down with him. Now they spend the day together by driving a convertible to the restaurant and relaxing there. Towards the end, both of them are walking arm in arm along a beach, when they come back onto a street, Zedd is hit by a car. The video ends with Zedd being covered with a cloth by the police, but shortly afterwards this is pulled down by Zedd and he lies in his bed again in the morning. After the second chorus, short return passages can often be seen next to the continuing story.

The total length of both videos is around 3:30 minutes. The second video was directed by Tim Mattia. To date, both music videos have over 91 million views on YouTube (as of April 2017).
