Beautiful Now ( engl. "Now beautifully") is a song of the German - Russian DJ Zedd , in cooperation with the US pop singer Jon Bellion . The track is the third single from his second studio album True Colors .
Creation and artwork
The song was written by Antonina Armato, Jon Bellion, Desmond Child , Tim James, David Jost and Anton Zaslavski (Zedd), the latter produced the song together with Rock Mafia. The single was released and distributed under the music label Interscope Records . On the cover of the maxi single - in addition to the artist name and song title - a red heart composed of a play of colors can be seen against a white background.
Publication and promotion
Beautiful Now was first released digitally on May 13, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. on iTunes . Two months later, a digital EP followed on July 10, 2015. This was released under the title Beautiful Now (Remixes) and contains four new and one previously released remix of Beautiful Now .
To promote the studio album , Zedd posted some mysterious teasers about True Colors on Twitter at the beginning of March , which later turned out to be evidence of a series of Zedd events, where he celebrated the premiere of his new pieces at each event. The premiere of Beautiful Now followed on May 8, 2015 at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago , Illinois . Every song on the album (except I Want You to Know ) was given a color at the events. Beautiful Now was assigned the theme color magenta . To get to the premiere, Zedd posted references to various locations in Chicago on the day. Stickers with the typical “Z-Logo” from Zedd could be found at all locations. The first 50 fans who uploaded a picture with themselves and the logo and arrived at the stations were invited to the preview of a song by Zedd. All fans who made it to the events received a pair of Beats headphones as a gift .

Music video
The music video for Beautiful Now premiered on June 12, 2015 on Vevo . Among other things, you can see Zedd who is caught trying to steal something and then threatens the supermarket operator with a knife in order to be able to flee. Several scenes were filmed in Prague , Czech Republic . For example, the Prague tram , the Prague metro and the Strahov Stadium can be seen. The total length of the video is 4:12 minutes. For Zedd as an interpreter, this is the fifth chart success in the United States. This is the seventh chart success for Zedd as a writer and record producer in the United States. For Bellion it is the first chart success worldwide.

Awards for music sales
On November 20, 2015, Beautiful Now was awarded a gold record in the United States for over 500,000 units sold. Gold in Italy and platinum in Poland followed in 2016, as well as platinum in the United States in September 2017. Overall, the single was awarded gold and platinum twice worldwide for over 1,145,000 units sold. For Bellion it was the first sound carrier to achieve gold status.
