Niall Horan
Niall James Horan (born September 13, 1993 in Mullingar , County Westmeath ) is an Irish singer-songwriter and guitarist. He became known in 2010 as a member of the boy band One Direction .
Life
Niall Horan's parents divorced when he was approximately five years old. Niall and his brother, Greg Horan, lived with both parents for a while. They later decided to move in with their father, Bobby Horan. Horan attended St. Kenny's National School Elementary School and later Coláiste Mhuire , a Catholic boys' school. Both schools are located in or around Mullingar. Horan started playing guitar when he was around eleven, after his brother had received one for Christmas but did not use it. Horan learned his guitar skills through YouTube videos. His aunt discovered his talent for singing after hearing his singing in the car and mistaking it for a song on the radio.
social commitment
In May 2018, Niall auctioned his first guitar via the Whyte auction house, which he got as a gift when he was 9 years old. He donated the auctioned amount of around 1,300 euros to an organization based in Dublin, which cares for those affected by the disease Epidermolysis bullosa .
Influences
Horan names The Script , Bon Jovi and The Eagles among musicians who have influenced him .
Solo career
Horan's first solo single is This Town , which he released on September 29, 2016. With this song he made it into the charts in many countries, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He won the People's Choice Award 2017 for the song. His second solo single Slow Hands was released on May 4, 2017. He is signed to Capitol Records . His second album "Heartbreak Weather" was released in March 2020.
