Stephan Wahle

Stephan Wahle (* 1974 ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

From 1995 to 2002 he studied Catholic theology and philosophy at the University of Bonn ( diploma in Catholic theology, 1st state examination for the subjects of Catholic religion and philosophy (SEK 1 + 2)). From 2001 to 2002 he was a research assistant at Albert Gerhards' seminar for liturgical science at the Catholic Theological Faculty in Bonn . From 2002 to 2003 he was a research assistant at the Collaborative Research Center 534 "Judaism - Christianity. Constitution and Differentiation in Antiquity and the Present" and a member of the subproject "Christian Liturgy in the Differentiation Process between Judaism and Christianity". From 2004 to 2006 he was a research assistant at the seminar for liturgical science at the University of Bonn. After receiving his doctorate in 2005 as a Dr. theol. at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Bonn with the grade "summa cum laude" and the award of the dissertation with the PhD award "Religion and Ethics" of the Interdisciplinary Forum Religion (IFR) of the University of Erfurt , he had a teaching position at the University of Siegen . From 2006 to 2013 he was academic advisor at the chair for dogmatics and liturgical science at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . From 2009 to 2010 he did a certified university didactic training for post-doctoral and doctoral students in Catholic theology: "Learning to teach theology" (Faculty Day / DBK). Since 2013 he has been an academic senior counselor at the chair for dogmatics and liturgical science at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. After completing his habilitation in 2014 as a Dr. theol. habil., granting of the license to teach in the field of liturgical science, appointment as private lecturer and the award in 2016 of the habilitation thesis “The Feast of the Incarnation. Christmas in Faith, Culture and Society ”with the Balthasar Fischer Prize 2016 from the German Liturgical Institute , he has been head of the Liturgy, Music and Culture department at the Department of Dogmatics and Liturgical Studies at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg since 2016. In 2017 he was appointed adjunct professor at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg. In the 2018/2019 winter semester and 2019 summer semester, he represented the professorship for liturgical studies at the University of Tübingen .
